to Skjoldenæsholm Castle, beautifully situated centrally on Sealand just 50 minutes drive from Copenhagen and 1 1/2 hours from Odense.

The castle with its 40 rooms is surrounded by a wonderful park with baroque avenues and watercourses.
The unique setting at the castles big lake and right next to the forest is accompanied by a warmhearted atmosphere, which you experience both from our dedicated staff and from the Bruun de Neergaard family, whom you often encounter during your stay.

At Skjoldenæsholm you can almost hear the sounds of the past - the wheels of the horse carriage in the gravel and the rustle of silky ball gowns swining in the dance. What you see is authentic and bears witness to generations' thoughts and care for beauty and enjoyment. Here you can take a break from the routines of daily life and focus on being present in the moment.

Enjoy the calming atmosphere in the house, while the historical ancestral portraits of the Gyldenløve and Bruun de Neergaard families kindly observe the present from the walls.

We value Danish traditions and gladly use seasonal ingredients. Our chefs walk through the park and the forest themselves, picking herbs, fruits, and other delicacies. In the kitchen, experimentation is done to find the perfect combinations in our dishes - served with delicate drops from the castles well-stocked wine cellar, the taste experience becomes something special.

The Bruun de Neergaard family has a long tradition of love for high-quality wines, a love that we are happy to share with our guests. Our talented chefs are ready to create the perfect menu for your event, and upon request, we are happy to put together a wine pairing that complements the dishes excellently.
